Progressive Era Project: Task List Progressive Era Topic: ______________________________________ Progressive Era Individual: __________________________________ Task 1: Group Topic Information Points ____/10 Your group will be responsible for creating a poster that will include all of the profile and tweets attached to it. You must include the basic background information and the pros and cons of the topic. It should also include the title of your Progressive Era Topic. After your poster is displayed your group will participate in a “Gallery Walk” looking at the other groups posters. Your group will then complete the Gallery Walk Questionnaire. Task 2: Profile Page Points ____/10 Each student will research an individual from the progressive era topic their group is assigned. The students will print a picture of the individual to place on the top left of the paper and then write the required information in the profile sort of design. Include their biographical info, their view of topic, and their impact on society within issue. Task 3: Followers Points ____/10 Each student will complete their Friends List (think followers on Twitter) with information from their other group members’ Profile Pages. This list must include an explanation of how they were connected. Task 4: Tweet Points ____/10 Each student will create a tweet (140 characters-- ONLY), include 3 hashtags that reflects the view of the individual that they have researched. Each student will create a twitter handle for their individual. (@yaboyfred) On the backside of the tweet the student will write a paragraph explaining how the tweet and hashtags apply to the individual and their views on the topic. Task 5: Presentation w/ Q&A Points ____/10 Your group will prepare a 3-5 minute presentation that explains the major points of your Progressive Era Topic. You must include 4-5 key events. Then you will present to the class and take questions that each group had from the Gallery Walk.
